Spokane Stainless Technologies came into existence in January 2022, following a split from Spokane Industries. Our extensive experience in serving a varied clientele predates the establishment of our company.
THE EARLY YEARS: Spokane Industries, established in 1952, grew to serve an international clientele. The company was originally launched by John C. Tenold as the Spokane Steel Foundry, delivering high-quality castings to the local mining, milling, lumber, and construction sectors. In 1965, the foundry relocated to a modern, technologically sophisticated facility within the Spokane Industrial Park, covering 265,000 square feet.

Established in 1978, the Spokane Metal Products division catered to defense, agriculture, and the wine, beverage, and water products industries with custom-engineered stainless steel tanks. As time passed, our expertise extended to a broader range of industries. We have delivered solutions to sectors such as pharmaceuticals, aerospace, energy, and processing and packaging, among others.

Spokane Stainless Technologies emerged in early 2022, established by founders Greg and Tyrus Tenold. The decision to divest the foundry and casting operations was strategic, allowing the company to concentrate on its primary expertise—providing world-class, bespoke stainless steel vessels and tanks, coupled with reliable support. This pivot also aimed to safeguard the company's family-owned ethos and culture, which are deeply rooted in trust, integrity, and excellence. Spokane Stainless Technologies continues to uphold its exceptional reputation and strives to exceed customer expectations, all while adhering to its foundational values and fostering responsible corporate citizenship within the communities it operates.

Our company is supported by a team of highly skilled engineers, adept in the latest software technologies, dedicated to designing durable and high-quality vessels and tanks that stand the test of time. Our engineering expertise encompasses a variety of services, including ASME Pressure Vessel Design, ASME U, U/M, and H Stamps, UL 142 Code Design, D.O.T Accreditation, as well as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) utilizing Ansys & SolidWorks, Process Engineering, Agitation and Mixer Design, and comprehensive Vessel, Tank, and Stand Design. We also provide Structural Calculations and Plant Layout Assistance.
